Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Younify Tech Limited operates Baby App. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15449518. This policy explains how the Baby App mobile app handles information.

The gameplay analytics described in this policy applies to mobile version 1.3 and later. Earlier versions do not include gameplay analytics.

2. Information used to improve the app

Baby App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how often and for how long the app is used and how the games are played, so that we can improve them. We send limited gameplay information to Google: fixed game and screen identifiers, level starts and whether a level was completed, replay and help actions, and a range showing how long a game was active on screen. The game ranges are under 10 seconds, 10–59 seconds, 1–4 minutes, and 5 minutes or more. Newer versions also send a range showing how long the app stayed on screen during each visit: under 1 minute, 1–4, 5–9, 10–19 or 20–29 minutes, or 30 minutes or more. Time is counted only while the app is on screen.

We do not ask for a child's name, age, email address or an account. Our gameplay events do not include drawings, recordings, free text, user IDs or exact times. The app has no advertising, social features or in-app purchases. This analytics is part of how the app works and is always on; there is no in-app setting to switch it off. Advertising identifier collection and advertising personalisation are turned off. We use gameplay information to understand the app, not to target advertising. Google's services also process technical information, as explained below.

3. Information stored on the device

Language, sound, vibration and accessibility preferences, together with limited game progress, are stored locally on the device. The app does not upload those saved settings or game-save files. It separately sends the limited gameplay events described above. You can remove local app data through your device's app-data controls. Removing local data does not itself delete information already sent to Google.

4. Device features

Baby App uses bundled audio playback and vibration for game feedback. Spoken learning prompts are included in the app and are not sent to Younify Tech, the operating system's speech service or any server. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, device location, contacts or photo library. The device and app-store providers handle their own services under their respective privacy policies.

5. Children's privacy

Baby App is designed for young children to use with a parent or guardian. We do not ask children to provide personal information, and the app contains no advertising or external social features.

6. Google services

Google processes the analytics information described in this policy through Google Analytics for Firebase. Its SDK can also process automatic engagement and session information, app and operating-system versions, and an identifier for an installation of the app. Google may derive broad location information, such as country, from the network connection even though the app does not request device location. We also use Google's BigQuery service for analytics reporting.

7. Retention

Our Google Analytics retention controls are set to two months for event-level data and 14 months for user-level data, where those records exist. The user-level period restarts when there is new activity. These controls do not set a deletion date for most standard aggregate reports, BigQuery exports or Firebase installation records. Google's services have separate retention rules; see its Analytics retention information.

8. Your rights

We rely on our legitimate interests to run the limited analytics described above: understanding how often and for how long the app is used, so that we can keep it working well for children. We weighed this against children's privacy. The events contain no names, ages, contact details, drawings, recordings or advertising identifiers, we do not build profiles or show advertising, and analytics storage and advertising consents stay denied in the SDK.

Google provides Google Analytics for Firebase to us as a service provider. Google may process this information in the United States and other countries, under its data processing terms and the safeguards for international transfers that they include.

You can ask us for access to information, ask us to delete or restrict it, or object to its use, by emailing privacy@younifytech.com. The app has no accounts and we hold no identifier for your device, so we usually cannot pick out the information sent from one device; we will explain what we can do when we reply. Deleting the app removes the preferences, progress and stickers saved on your device.

If you are unhappy with how we handle information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority where you live.

9. This support website

This policy is hosted on younifytech.com. Visiting this website is separate from using the Baby App app and may create standard server logs or limited website analytics. You can read the Younify Tech website privacy policy for details. These website services are not included in the Baby App app.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app changes. The current version will remain on this page with its last-updated date.
